Jason Nielsen

Jason Nielsen is a versatile and experienced visual storyteller who edits multi-genre MOWs, scripted series and documentaries for international broadcast. Jason began his picture editing career on the acclaimed children's series, The Incredible Story Studio (UK/ Canada), which was distributed by Disney International to more than 400 million households in over 100 countries. Jason went on to edit dramatic and comedic programs including Canada's most watched scripted television series, Corner Gas (CTV, Canada), which garnered dozens of awards and an International Emmy Award Nomination for best comedy. Jason moved into independent documentary programming when he co-wrote and edited thirty-eight episodes of Landscape as Muse (Bravo Network, Canada) which garnered The Gemini Award for Best Arts Documentary (2008). Jason was honored with a Gemini Award Nomination for Best Editing (Dramatic) in 2004 and is the recipient of various Directors Guild of Canada Awards. Jason is proud to have his work in the collections of The National Gallery of Canada and The National Archives in Ottawa.
