Kim Ngo is a Los Angeles based Costume Designer. Kim's most recent feature film work includes "Wakefield", directed by Robin Swicord, produced by Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn, and starring Jennifer Garner and Bryan Cranston. Prior to that she completed the thriller "Ghost House", directed by Rich Ragsdale and shot on location in Thailand, the comedy "Break Point", directed by Jay Karas and starring Jeremy Sisto, and "The Loner" directed by Daniel Yi Grove, starring Reza Sixo Safai.
In addition to to her work on feature films, she has produced a wide range of specialty costume design and construction for national commercials such as Fuse TV, Virgin America, Princess Cruises, United States Air Force, and Bose. She has designed and created walk-about costumes, puppets of various sizes, and even NASCAR driving suits for television shows such as "Fresh Off the Boat", "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and "NASCAR: The Rise of American Speed".
Kim was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where she was trained in Costume Design from a young age at the prestigious Booker T. Washington for the Performing and Visual Arts. Later she continued her education at the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in Costume Design for Theater Arts. She worked for several years in Austin designing costumes and producing theater, and still carries a deep love for live performance.
