Clint Nageotte

Nageotte, a Cleveland-area native, was a top prospect for the Seattle Mariners in the early 2000s. He made his MLB debut June 1, 2004. Pitching in relief, he retired the first three batters in order before surrendering three runs and taking the loss at home versus the Toronto Blue Jays. He was known for a fastball up to 96 mph and a wicked slider. Clint played Babe Ruth in 1991 for a TV movie. He fit the profile as a chubby 'left handed' batter. The movie was filmed close to his Florida home.
