Thelda Kenvin

Ethelda was born in Brooklyn, NY. After modeling for magazine covers, she was runner-up for the Miss America title in the 1923 Atlantic Beauty Pageant. In 1925 at 20 years of age, she and 19 other prospects were chosen among thousands of applicants to attend the Paramount Pictures School, a short-lived acting school aimed at introducing young actors and actresses to the film industry.
