Ivan Karp

Ivan Karp was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He established himself as a formidable presence in the art world beginning with his work as a critic for The Village Voice and continuing work at the Castelli Gallery and eventually opening his own gallery, O.K. Harris, in SOHO, New York in 1969. He is married to artist/educator Marilynn Karp and has two sons, Ethan, Jesse and one daughter, Amie.
