After studying history of arts, Ravi gained more than 10 years experience as a creative assistant in various Film-,TV- and Advertisements. Besides that he directed several Theatre productions, and trained approx. 150 actors in Method- and Camera acting.
Finally he was able to bundle all these experiences in 1995, when he started his career as journalist at the largest public broadcaster in Germany, Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), where he produced over 1000 radio- features on art, dance, film and theatre performances. From 2002 he worked for WDR as a TV writer and TV director. From 2006, he was increasingly entrusted with commissions for premium TV productions (60 - 90 min.) for the largest national TV station, "Das Erste" and the second largest national TV station (ZDF). To date, he has written, directed and produced more than 250 films in the range of 3 minutes to 90 minutes, for which he was awarded with Germany's 12 most important Film Awards & Nominations in 15 years
