Kevin L. Jones was the son of Leslie F. and Joyce Bitton Jones. He attended schools in Davis County and the University of Utah. He is best remembered for his role as the potato-nosed, mustachioed Police Lieutenant "Mac Malden" in the "Tex Murphy" video games. This was a role he portrayed in three live-action installments: "Under a Killing Moon" (1994), "The Pandora Directive" (1996) and a brief cameo in "Tex Murphy: Overseer" (1998) in his last on-screen appearance as "Mac Malden". He would reprise the character once final time in voice only in the audio drama "Tex Murphy Radio Theatre" (2001).
Jones worked at KALL Radio and Fox TV. He was a sales representative for Access Software and later for Microsoft, after they acquired the Access software.
He was buried on Friday December 31, 2004 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. He is interred at West Weber Cemetery.
