Biography

Antony Rufus Isaacs started life as a banker in the city of London. In 1970 he left the city of London to form film production company involved in producing commercials. In 1972, he produced the Blockhouse with Peter Sellers. He sold his advertising film production company in U.K. and in 1984 moved to Los Angeles with his partner Richard Northcott. In 1985, he produced 91/2 weeks with Mickey Rourke and Kim Bassinger. His film production company, Galactic Films, went onto the Vancouver Stock Exchange as Nelson Entertainment. From 1987 to 1993 Antony Rufus Isaacs was head of film division of Nelson Entertainment. He was also owner and founder with Richard Northcott. During that time the company financed and distributed 23 films, mostly with Columbia Pictures.
