Munaf Husain was born and raised in Bombay, India. He studied film at Columbia College, Los Angeles then returned to India in 1988 where he worked in the film and television industry for almost ten years.
During that period he has produced, written, and directed commercials and corporate videos, written scripts for episodic television, taught Film and Video Production, conducted workshops for film students and written film articles for publications such as The Times Sunday Review. His range of experience also includes editing and camera work on numerous videos.
He immigrated to Canada in 1998 and has been working in the film industry in Toronto since then. He has worked there as an Assistant Director on feature films, TV movies and television series and has assisted the producers on the US network television series "DOC" and "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye". He is presently the Chief Executive and Creative Head of Dancing Light Pictures, a production company based in Canada.
"Fragile" is his first fiction film as director/producer.
