Philippe Ghayad

Biography

Philippe Ghayad is a young Montreal filmmaker. Recently, he has worked as an editor for a documentary produced by the National Film Board, The Knowledge Network and Pulling Teeth Productions called "Mudslide". He also worked as an editor on a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation series: "Walking After Midnight" and on the documentary "Power". After completing his Master's Degree in Economics, he went to study filmmaking at the Vancouver Film School. He also wrote and directed "Separation". This short-film about the 1995 Quebec Referendum was selected in several film festivals: Malta Film Festival, World Film Festival, Montreal International Festival of Cinema and New Media and it won a special prize at the Canadian International Annual Film Festival and the Austrian Film Festival.
