Biography

Jeff Garvin is a writer, actor, and musician from Orange County, California. After graduating from Chapman University's Film School, where he wrote and directed award-winning shorts, he went on to act in television and films, including The Wonder Years (1988), Young, Single & Angry (2006), Caroline in the City (1995), Klepto (2003), and Sanctuary (2016). Jeff is also an accomplished fiction writer. His YA novel Symptoms of Being Human, published by HarperCollins, is an ALA Best Fiction for Young Adults Selection, a Lambda Literary Award Finalist, a Goodreads Choice semi-finalist, and garnered starred reviews from Booklist and Publishers Weekly. As the front man of the alternative rock band 7k, Garvin toured the US, released 3 albums, and contributed the soundtracks of several independent features, including The Legend of Bloody Jack (2007) (2007) and Stupid Teenagers Must Die! (2006) (2006).
