Toni Gable

Joyce Barbara Anthony, at age 15, was selected Miss All-India 1938 on Friday January 28, 1938 at the Taj Mahal hotel in Bombay. Joyce arrived in England during September of the same year, and worked in cabaret, dance, film, modelling and variety. She used stage names such as Toni Gable for films and Desde Kumari for dance and floorshows at The Paradise Club and The London Casino. She emigrated to Canada in 1952.
