Biography

Recorded media acting credits include: Beauty and The Beast (CBS Pilot), Mulroney: The Opera (2011), The Tournament (2005), Puppets Who Kill (2002), The Newsroom (1996), Zero Patience (1993), and Love & Human Remains (1993). He also appeared in The Pirates of Penzance (1985) at the Stratford Festival and for the CBC. On television, Gale hosted four seasons of Loving Spoonfuls (2000), which garnered both a Gemini & Galaxi Award (4 nominations.) He hosted, co-created and co-produced the series Second Time Around and shot a pilot for the daytime talk show The David Gale Show. In 2006 Gale hosted Toronto's Dora Mavor Moore Theatre Awards. He has also worked as a producer, director and writer for television and the stage. His award-winning musical Chutzpah à Go-Go played across Canada and the US. Gale has emceed countless fund-raising events and benefits, helping to raise money for numerous worthy causes. Re-elected to ACTRA Toronto's executive, David Gale serves as the VP Communications and sits on ACTRA National's Council. Gale oversees ACTRA Toronto's Conferences ACTRA Awards in Toronto and is publisher of Performers Magazine. For two terms Gale represented performers on Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television board of directors.
