Biography

Dr. Norman Lee Friedman was born on September 6, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. A professor of Sociology at California State University, Los Angeles, he took various acting roles throughout his life while working primarily as a professor. Best known for his work as the cleaning man in The Terminator (1984) who is vulgarly rebuked by Arnold in a hotel, he also had roles in Amazing Stories (1985) and Microwave Massacre (1979). Due to the foul language in his Terminator scene, he refused to allow his two young daughters (in grades six and four at the time of the film's release) see the film or his scene. Due to his memorable scene in The Terminator, he later starred in the Ugly Kid Joe music video "Neighbor" playing primarily the same character as he did in The Terminator. He died on November 4, 1998.
