Biography

Czech film archivist, historian and publicist. Founder of film collections of the National Technical Museum and head of the National Film Archive. After a disagreement with the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1968, has been removed and the activity was reduced. He loved American film, particularly the golden era of silent slapstick, comedy and conversational American musicals. His most favorite, next to the Marx Brothers, Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd and Shirley Temple, was a famous actor and dancer Fred Astaire.
