Stephen Holland

Actor, entertainer and producer director behind the event business, Blackthorn Arts, the.event.entertainers. Stephen's commercial acting work includes lead and semi featured roles in theatre, television, corporate video, film and commercial projects. His work at Blackthorn Arts includes many types of events, performing, directing and producing for a wide range of corporate, festival, public and private clients in Ireland and abroad. Blackthorn Arts business covers theatre, comedy, drama, music, presenting, pr photographic and live events. Blackthorn Arts is also the home to Mr Podzo Events, the children's events company, creating fun interactive shows and educational workshops for young audiences nationwide. Stephen began work as an actor in 1984/1985 in theatre plays and musicals before moving to London to pursue a full time career in the UK entertainment industry from 1987. He kept up his roots with the Dublin Theatre scene and on his return to Dublin, he began working as an entertainer between jobs, He founded Blackthorn Arts theatre and events in early 1996, where he has remained at the helm for more than 25 years. Projects created under his stewardship include, theatre, corporate video, reenactments, comedy street theatre and vignette comedy shows for both international and domestic audiences and clients. Having worked at this post since 1996, Stephen has now passed on the baton to the younger members of the troupe and has returned to his acting roots.
