Gina Hiraizumi

Biography

Gina Hiraizumi will recur on Season 3 of the hit HBO Max series, "Doom Patrol." An adaptation of the DC Universe series, she brings to life "The Quiz," a passionate, fearless enigma that viewers are alternately introduced to as the Japanese speaking "Sachiko." The most powerful force of the Sisterhood of the Dada, her storyline spans the Spanish Flu in the early 1900's to modern day. On the upcoming Season 4 premiere of "Dynasty" on The CW, Hiraizumi plays the wealthy and sophisticated, "Barbara." Inside the upscale atmosphere of the Carrington Manor, playing a Venture Capitalist businesswoman came a natural fit - her real life ancestry stems from all entrepreneurs and business professionals. Other 2021 TV credits include the AMC/Shudder series, "Creepshow" by Showrunner Greg Nicotero of the hit AMC series, "The Walking Dead," followed by the NBC series, "Mr. Mayor" and "Good Girls." Hiraizumi also guested on one of the last episodes of the final season of "Hawaii Five-O" on CBS. The eldest of 3 sisters, Hiraizumi grew up in Los Angeles, CA while spending summer education in Tokyo in her childhood. Bilingual with an unparalleled eloquence in English and Japanese, she attended regular American school plus 2 private Japanese schools 6x a week. From pre-school to 12th grade, being raised under an extreme, Japanese-style discipline and work ethic has paid off immeasurable dividends in her adult career. Also a classically trained Pianist, she trained for over 10 years at Yamaha Music. Hiraizumi's classical background eventually led her to The Juilliard School, where she honed her passion for vocal performance. While living in New York City, she sang the the National Anthem for audiences of 50,000+ at The Madison Square Garden, a gig that eventually led her to singing live at a NBA game for The Los Angeles Clippers at The Staples Center and for the MLB, for The Los Angeles Dodgers at The Dodger Stadium. She then spent years living in Tokyo, initially pursuing a singing career overseas, a passion that quickly faded after realizing the lifestyle in the Japan recording industry was not for her. Coming from a multigenerational lineage of successful entrepreneurs, her father was CEO of a travel agency for over 40 years, allowing the family to live a luxe, international lifestyle. Her parents, both maternally and paternally owned and operated several companies, and growing up in mature business settings by default allowed her to gain a visceral knowledge of entrepreneurship from a very young age. Hiraizumi is a passionate advocate around the subject of Infertility and IVF, completely transparent and unashamed in sharing her story of multiple miscarriages, in trying to conceive naturally with her husband. Joining the many other celebrities that continue to be an advocate - she hopes her story will continue to remove the stigma, to support the millions of women in similar situations, that they are not alone.
