Willem Haardt

Wilhelm Haardt was born in Altendorf near Essen, Germany (since 1901 a part of that town). Son of a Lutheran priest in Altendorf, and Gertrud Schetter. Wilhelm was the older of six brothers. Studied law in Heidelberg and Bonn, then actor in Elberfeld near Wuppertal. Later lived in Vienna, St. Gallen and Solothurn. Since 28.5.1930 in Switzerland. Married to Margarete (Margrit) Diel, born in Bern 4.12.1884.
