John Gross is a leading pioneer in the creation of CGI visual effects for broadcast television series.
In the early 1990's, John was Editor of LightwavePRO Magazine when he was recruited by Steven Spielberg's new television series seaQuest DSV. Coming aboard to help train the artists on the fledgling show, John became a co-founder of the company that would later become Amblin Imaging.
At Amblin, John not only created computer generated visual effects for the ground breaking TV series, seaQuest DSV (and later SeaQuest 2032), but also supervised the team behind the creation of the first ongoing visual effects for the Star Trek series franchise with UPN's Star Trek: Voyager.
After Amblin Imaging closed in 1996, John co-founded Digital Muse; where as Creative Director, he oversaw the creation of visual effects for multiple television, film, music video and commercial projects.
In 2000 John co-founded Eden FX where he served as President, Creative Director and Lead Visual Effects Supervisor. For the next 13 years, Eden FX created award winning visual effects for television series, film and special venue productions.
In 2013, John founded Muse VFX where he serves as President, Creative Director and Lead VFX Supervisor. His belief in the importance of team culture and collaboration has won him the loyalty of many talented people who continue to help make Muse VFX a successful, evolving force in the visual effects industry.
