Biography

Peter Green has over 27 years experience in Hollywood - as a film and television producer, a development and production executive at Paramount and Disney, and Head of Programming for the cable network G4 For the seventh year in a row, Mr. Green created and produced the live 24-hour television and streaming broadcast from all 24 time zones around the world for Al Gore and The Climate Reality Project. Prior to that, he spent several years as Senior Vice President, Production and Development at Paramount Picture's Paramount Famous Productions. While at Paramount, Mr. Green produced Mean Girls 2 and Road Trip - Beer Pong. He also developed scripts for Clueless 2, Shooter 2, The Second Wives Club, Naked Gun 4 ¼, and Bad New Bears - Sudden Death Soccer. Prior to joining Paramount in 2008, Mr. Green served as President and Producer at Fountain Productions, where he managed a development slate of more than (20) projects including Parent Trap 2 and Herbie Rides Again for Walt Disney Pictures. He also developed and produced Inspector Gadget 2, Disney's first foray into the live-action DVD Premiere space that was shot and post produced entirely in Australia. For ABC, Mr. Green executive produced the critically acclaimed and highly rated movie for television The Miracle Worker starring David Strathairn; Ladies and the Champ starring Oscar-winner Olympia Dukakis; and Geppetto, an original TV musical by Oscar-winning composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell) that starred Drew Carey and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Prior to that, Mr. Green spent three years as Vice President, Production for Disney Telefilms, overseeing the development and production of some (35) telefilms, all in the 3.2 million dollar to 14 million dollar range for ABC's Wonderful World of Disney. They include the top-rated Annie, for which Green tapped theater director Rob Marshall (Chicago) for his first film-directing role. The film starred Tony-winners Kathy Bates, Alan Cumming, Kristen Chenowith and Victor Garber, and garnered nominations for a Golden Globe and 12 Emmy Awards. Green also guided Jerry Bruckheimer's first foray into long form television with MaxQ: Emergency Landing and Justin Timberlake's television debut in Model Behavior. Green began his career at Disney in development, production and casting at Disney's Hollywood Pictures working on such features as Crimson Tide, The Rock, While You Were Sleeping, Evita, Nixon, Eddie, The Associate and The Hand That Rocks the Cradle. He began his career as an independent casting associate on the films A League of Their Own and Cool World. In 2003, Mr. Green was a guiding force in building the cable network G4 from a small video game destination to a male lifestyle network serving 55 million homes. As Senior Vice President, Programming and Production, Mr. Green oversaw all of the networks programming as well as Executive Producing G4's (12) original shows and Executive Producing the world's first video game awards show, G-Phoria. Mr. Green is a graduate of Wesleyan University and native of Chicago.
