Tapan Chatterjee was born on September 3, 1937 in Calcutta, Bengal Presidency, British India. He was an actor and producer, known for The Adventures of Goopy and Bagha (1969), Aanchal (1980) and Mera Karam Mera Dharam (1987). He died on May 24, 2010 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
