Alejo Carpentier

Alejo Carpentier was born on December 26, 1904 in Lausanne, Switzerland. He was a writer, known for The Recourse to the Method (1978), Barroco (1989) and Le siècle des lumières (1993). He was previously married to Lilia Esteban Hierro. He died on April 25, 1980 in Paris, France.
