Biography

Songwriter ("Love Is a Simple Thing") and author, educated at Hollywood High School in California. She wrote songs for films and for the Broadway revues "Who's Who", "New Faces of 1952", and "New Faces of 1956". Joining ASCAP in 1952, her chief musical collaborators include Arthur Siegel and Richard Lewine. Her other popular-song compositions include "Penny Candy", "Monotonous", "The Boy Most Likely to Succeed", "Let's Hold Hands", "I Want You to Be the First to Know", "He Takes Me Off His Income Tax" and "Rinka Tinka Man".
