Biography

Emerald Renee Alva is an American film, theater and television actress, best known for her role in Body of Innocence. She is mostly well known in the LGBT film community and for raising awareness against abuse. Emerald is from Harris county, Texas and grew up in between Gulfton and Hillcroft on the Southwest part of Houston. Emerald was an understudy/personal assistant to the well known Producer/Artistic Stage Director and childhood actor Vaughn Monroe along side with his off screen childhood Jackie Earle Haley from the 1976 film Bad News Bears. Emerald is known to have lived with the stage director well past her 27th birthday causing the pair to collaborate on many film production projects together until the director's passing. Emerald is the youngest of five children single and was raised mostly by her Mother that died in her arms of Pancreatic Cancer on April 16,2007. She became a certified dialysis caregiver in the fall of 2008 and later completed a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts.
