Himself fascinated from an early age by movies, Lou's multi-faceted career culminated with over 20 years in public relations and as a unit publicist for dozens of movies filmed on locations throughout the world. In several films, he appeared as an extra.
Born in El Paso, Texas, his writer's craft served him in four different careers. First, as a reporter and editor with the Los Angeles Times; second as a United States Air Force officer serving in both World War II and in the Korean War, and later retiring as a Colonel; third as a top executive with the City of Los Angeles, and finally as a movie industry publicist. He also wrote a number of scripts for film and television, including "Black Tide" staring John Ireland.
