Dimitri Djanbani

Dimitri Djanbani was born and raised in Belgium where he studied photography and became busy as a skilled cinematographer before relocating to the US in 1991. As a director of photography and camera operator for film and television, Dimitri gained experienced in a wide variety of production environments: from multi camera live TV broadcasting to independent motion picture film production to music videos and high end commercials for international clients to reality based concepts. Extensive knowledge of live broadcast multi camera set ups and "reality" TV production environments. Practical experience in special effects photography. Background in film and video post production and years of professional experience as a camera assistant, focus puller, gaffer and (dolly-) grip. Familiar with practically all camera systems: 16mm, 35mm, 70mm, IMAX, HD, Beta, DVCpro, miniDV and support equipment such as dollies, cranes, jibs, remote camera heads, stabilizers, pogo rigs etc. Specialized in the Flying-Cam system: a remote controlled miniaturized helicopter camera device. Recipient of numerous festival awards for excellence in cinematography.
