Early in her life, Kia discovered her passion for creating compelling AND inspiring entertainment. Her unique 20+ year trajectory in the industry and combination of skills have built a solid foundation for her producing career.
She went to film school and earned a B.A. in Moving Image Arts and a Minor in Business. Prior to producing, she was a union Camera Assistant, Telecine Colorist/Color Grader, Commercial Production Coordinator, and VFX Coordinator/Liaison to Director. Even before she started producing full-time, she had 80+ credits on TV, feature, documentary, commercial, and music video projects.
Since then, her production company, Zaza Productions, has produced award-winning music videos and social impact documentaries, TV pilots, docu-series sizzles, yoga DVDs, award shows, and network promos. Zaza Productions is in development on several narrative film and TV properties.
She is a member of the Producer's Guild of America in the Producer's Council, co-founder of the PGA's Social Impact Entertainment Task Force, and serves on the Advisory Board for the Los Angeles City College's Film and TV Department.
