Biography

Yolanda Darnell's writing career started when she was first published at age thirteen. In high school, she wrote articles for her school newspaper and completing her first novel, After the Dance, before graduation. During college (at USC and the UCLA writer's program), she wrote a story for her writing class which was used as a guide for the teen soap, Almost There. In the mid-eighties, Yolanda landed an opportunity to work in local television before producing the award-winning, teen soap, Almost There! (1988) in late, 1988. In 1992, she produced, directed and wrote her first film, Until Tomorrow Comes (1992). Also, Darnell wrote the literary version of Until Tomorrow Comes (Ten Weeks) in 1996. She has recently produced the long-awaited movie, Terror in the Darkness (2003). She has recently completed the novels, Terror in the Darkness and Almost There!: A Series of Monologues which will be released soon. Currently, Darnell is totally committed in writing, producing and directing productions with Christian themes.
