Ms. Davenport was a New York writer, biographer, and novelist whose books inspired movies starring some of Hollywood's top names. In addition to writing the works, "Valley of Decision" and "East Side, West Side", which inspired movies of the same name, she was also author of "Mozart", a biography of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, that came out in 1932 and has been continuously in print, ever since.
