Nancy Daly

Biography

Nancy Daly graduated from Smith College and trained in London at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. She is a military brat and was born in Coronado, CA. Her family is of Irish descent and originally from the Midwest. Her father would look out the window at sunny California and sigh- "Holy Mother of God! Another damn nice day!" She has worked in many Regional Theatres- including Arena Stage, Shakespeare Theatre, Delaware Theatre Co, Virginia Stage Co, New Playwrights Theater, Washington Stage Guild and many more. She began her film career working with Albert Finney, Maggie Smith and Jennifer Jason Leigh as their romantic and sympathetic maid, Maureen, in "Washington Square." She has appeared in dozens of leading and supporting roles in films- including "Suburbicon" as Linda, Matt Damon's Secretary. She will be in Joel Coen's upcoming film of "Macbeth" with Frances McDormand and Denzel Washington and David Leitch's film of "Bullet Train" opposite Brad Pitt. She has appeared in numerous TV shows including "The Kids Are Alright," "Living Biblically," "Criminal Minds," "Playing House," "Scrubs," "New Girl", "Joey" and "Homicide- Life on the Streets." She has played multiple roles in several animation series. She wrote and performed her One Woman Show- "Massage on the Flip Side- Beating Up the Naked People" around the LA area from 2007-2010. Her second One Woman Show- "What if I Fly?" has been performed by an ensemble of women artists as a fundraiser for TimesUp. Nancy is the Founder and National Team Captain of Actors and Artists Unite to End Alzheimer's- a National team for the Walk to end Alzheimer's for the Alzheimer's Association that has raised over $300 ,000 to date. She adores dogs and is extremely proud to be the daughter and granddaughter of veterans. She is an Alzheimer's and Veterans advocate. Slainte!
