Miryana Basheva was born in Sofia on February 11, 1947. Mirjana Basheva is the only daughter of tragically killed Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ivan Bashev. She graduated Russian and English Philology School without graduating. She started writing poetry rather late - after the 23rd year. Her first collection of poems was "Grave nature". Many of her poems are popular songs: "May" - singing by Bogdana Karadocheva, "Grave nature" - singing by Yordanka Hristova, "How are you"- singing by brothers Argirovi, "Boulevard" - singing by Mikhail Belchev. She has worked in the journal "Fatherland", Bulgarian National Television, Boyana Film Studios, magazine "Torch". Since 1989 she is an editor in the newspapers "24 Hours" and "Now." . At the invitation of Rangel Valchanov Basheva wrote the script of the feature film " Last Wishes " (1983) and several documentaries on the same director. She wrote also the verses for the films "War of the Hedgehogs", directed by Ivanka Grabcheva and "AkaDaMus", directed by Georgi Djulgerov.
