Biography

As Head of Content of TelevisaUnivision's W Studios, Carlos R. Bardasano oversees the development and production of series for Spanish language SVOD and broadcast television in the USA, Mexico, and LatAm. With a successful track record in the industry, Bardasano has executive produced numerous hit shows, including the very successful "La Mujer del Diablo," the critically acclaimed "Travesuras de la Niña Mala," and the reboot of the cult horror series "La Hora Marcada." Bardasano was previously President of W Studios before the merger of Televisa and Univision. During his tenure, he was responsible for international hits such as Rubi, Los Ricos Tambien Lloran, Si Nos Dejan, and El Dragon. Bardasano has also held executive positions at Univision Networks, including Vice President of Original Content, where he oversaw all production of original content from Univision's main content providers such as Televisa, Sony, Caracol, RTI, and Venevision. He was also Vice President of Programming and Original Production for Univision's UniMás broadcast network, responsible for all programming, production, and strategy, and played a key role in launching the new network. At NBCU's Telemundo, Bardasano served as Executive Vice President of Entertainment, responsible for all programming and content for the network. He was also Vice President of Programming at Telemundo, in charge of all primetime programming and production. Bardasano made the transition to Telemundo after working as a production executive for Sony Pictures Entertainment, Telemundo's parent company at the time. Earlier in his career, Bardasano served as Vice President of Programming Development of Univision Television Networks, where he spearheaded the creation of fresh and innovative programming for all of Univision's broadcast and cable networks. He began his television career at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, working on NBC sitcoms in 1996. He then held executive and supervisory positions at Paramount Pictures and Sony Pictures Television, overseeing primetime content. He earned a Master of Science degree in television management from the College of Communications at Boston University.
