Marie Armstrong

Marie Armstrong was born Olive Marie Tancred, but took her stepfather's surname Stonehouse when her mother remarried in 1932. She was an actress, known for The Roly Poly Man (1994), The Miraculous Mellops (1991) and Home and Away (1988). She was previously married to John Armstrong. From 1948 she worked at Sydney's New Theatre (NT) and was made a life member in 1969. In 1986 she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to the community.
