Biography

Curran G. Engel has worked in the motion picture industry for over 15 years. He has worked on more than 200 music videos, commercials, documentary, corporate and feature films, laboring his way up from intern to producer. Over the course of his career he has worked, in varying capacities, for Walt Disney Co., Warner Bros., NBC Television, and more, including a number of independent productions like This Space Between Us (1999) featuring Jeremy Sisto, Poppy Montgomery, Erik Palladino, Alex Kingston, Vanessa Marcil, and Garry Marshall. His screen credits include The Sculptress (2000) starring Jeff Fahey, Patrick Bauchau, and Katie Wright; Cherish (2002) starring Robin Tunney and Tim Blake Nelson; Heartwood (1998) starring Jason Robards, Eddie Mills, and Hilary Swank; The Net (1995) starring Sandra Bullock; and James and the Giant Peach (1996) starring Paul Terry, Miriam Margolyes, and Joanna Lumley. He has produced and consulted for various production companies and independent film makers around the country. Mr. Engel frequently serves as a guest lecturer on film industry topics. Mr. Engel is a member of the faculty at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. He teaches courses in producing, production management and creating demo reels.
