Valeri Brumel was born on April 14, 1942 in Razvedki, Amur Oblast, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia]. He was a writer, known for Pravo na pryzhok (1973), Tokyo Olympiad (1965) and ABC's Wide World of Sports (1961). He was previously married to Lyudmila Turisheva and Svetlana Brumel. He died on January 26, 2003 in Moscow, Russia.
