Biography

Rich Brown is a producer dubbed "The Wizard of Odd" by New York Magazine for his specialty in creating quirky yet popular entertainment. He launched his TV career as creator-producer-host of Oddville, MTV, a nightly talk/variety show based on his popular NYC show Beyond Vaudeville. The show was selected by Rolling Stone as one of the "101 Reasons to Watch Television." He has also played a key role in developing and producing several memorable game shows. He originated the wildly popular "gross" stunts on Fear Factor and oversaw the development and production of challenges on a wide variety of other shows including Minute to Win It, I Survived a Japanese Game Show, and Oh Sit! His live variety shows have played to sold-out audiences at Caroline's Comedy Club and the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater. Rich holds degrees from New York University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. As a journalist, his work has appeared in various publications including The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, Entertainment Weekly and TV Guide.
