Peter Breitmayer

Born in Arcadia, California, and moved to Minnesota at 11 years old, Peter Breitmayer is a hybrid Californian/Minnesotan. He started his professional acting career at Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop in 1988, as a company actor/writer/improviser. Peter worked in numerous professional theaters in the Minneapolis area over his next eight years, did dozens of OC and VO Commercials, and landed roles in several Hollywood produced films shooting in the state including Drop Dead Fred, Jingle All the Way, Larry Nordic and The Stranger Within, with Kate Jackson, the "smart Angel". He moved to LA in 1996 and has since worked regularly in well over a hundred productions in television, film, commercials and VO, seen recently in Why Women Kill, as Gilbert Bingley in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Lt. Ben Schmidt in the Fargo series. Most people recognize him as the A-Nother Insurance Company idiot, Bill, in the Progressive Insurance campaign. Peter also continued his stage career, acting in award winning productions in LA as well as touring Nationally and to Dublin, Ireland with the long running hit show Triple Espresso. He Produced and was in the hit show Almost, Maine at the Hudson. He resides in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles with his wife and son. He has a BA in Theology from Gustavus Adolphus College, and his esoteric thesis on Process Theodicy makes for a good casual read.
