Teda Bracci

Biography

Wild, lanky, and vivacious brunette actress and singer Teda Marie Bracci was born on September 30, 1946. She attended Woodside High School in Woodside, California. The native Los Angelino played Jeanie in the original Los Angeles, California stage production of the hit hippie counterculture musical "Hair." A popular fixture on the L.A. Sunset Strip rock music scene of the late 60s and early 70s, Bracci was a headliner at such famous clubs as The Troubadour and the Whisky-A-Go-Go. Moreover, Teda acted in a handful of films and TV shows; she was often cast as extremely brash, sassy, and uninhibited characters. Her most memorable movie roles are loopy motorcycle mama Pig in "C.C. and Company," raucous prison inmate Bull Jones in the hugely enjoyable chicks-in-chains cult classic "The Big Bird Cage," and obnoxious interloper Rita in the gloriously sleazy drive-in exploitation gem "The Centerfold Girls." More recently Bracci released a CD of her music called "The Lost Tapes." She lives in Los Angeles and continues to perform at local clubs.
