Biography

Albert Victor Bramble was born in Portsmouth, England, in 1880. He became a well-known classical stage performer, beginning in 1900. In addition, he appeared in quite a few films, first for the B&C Film Company in 1914, where he stayed until the late 1920s. He was also a producer and director, and in 1916 he gave up acting for those fields. He appeared in only one talkie, 25 years after his last film acting role, in Outcast of the Islands (1951), starring Ralph Richardson and Trevor Howard.
