Carmelo Bene

Carmelo Bene was born on September 1, 1937 in Campi Salentina, Puglia, Italy as Carmelo Pompilio Realino Antonio Bene. He was a director and writer, known for Our Lady of the Turks (1968), One Hamlet Less (1973) and Salomè (1972). He was married to Raffaella Baracchi and Giuliana Rossi. He died on March 16, 2002 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.
