Douglas Kornelly was a brilliant, adored teacher and theatre director at Glenbrook South High School in the Northern Chicago suburb of Glenview, Illinois.
In the documentary, "Committed," comedian/actor Vic Cohen (the film's subject), credits Kornelly with giving Vic his early inspiration and positive encouragement to pursue a comedy career.
In one of "Committed's" most memorable scenes, Vic and comedian Howie Mandel (co-director/executive producer of "Committed"), visit Kornelly at his apartment complex, where Kornelly offers sage advice regarding "career" and "success!"
