Biography

Sylvain "Sly" Raymond is a writer who works in the fields of communications, marketing, advertising, publishing, pop culture, film, entertainment and television, notably for the cartoon network Teletoon Canada where he was in charge of FOX, Marvel, Disney, Lucasfilm, DC Comics and their properties. He is the co-founder of Spasm, a genre film festival for which he produced the indie feature film Le Chalet (2005) and distributed over 100 short films across Canada. Sly has also published two novels, the award-winning satire Yupster (2010) and the Neo Noir Sarahbande (2012). He recently worked as a script consultant for Game of Death (2017), directed by Laurence "Baz" Morais and Sébastien "Seb" Landry. Sly hosts and directs the podcast series Premiers Choix about athletes who lose themselves in the world of professional sports.
