Nick Romi was born in Connecticut, USA. Early in his youth Nick found passion for film. Nick would frequently make home movies. His stop-motion animations created with Microsoft Powerpoint and the Paint program were a hit amongst his friends. Throughout High School, Nick continued to make short films with Legos.
When his stop-motion Lego films got noticed, Nick took his talents to college, where he spent two years before dropping out. In 2016 Nick ventured off to Osaka, Japan where he worked with punk rock bands for over a year. After shooting the Berlin Punk FilmFest nominee, Danger Boys: Punks in Osaka (2017), Nick moved out to Los Angeles.
Nick began working at Cinema Libre Studio as an intern. He later worked for Sumerian Records doing photography and videography for bands like The Faceless, Born Of Osiris, Animals As Leaders, ERRA, Stray From The Path and many more. After leaving Sumerian Records, Nick worked as a video editor at Discovery's Motor Trend Studios. Shortly after, Nick found his home at Film Solutions, where he works in the still photography operations department.
Nick frequently directs, edits and photographs various freelance projects. He currently resides in Los Angeles. (2019)
