Kyla Skye Lewis was born in Hartford, Connecticut, to Rebecca Correa Gonzalez and Keith Lewis. As a young child, New York City became a second home to both Kyla and her mom as they spent many weekends in the city exploring different cultures, museums, historical sites, and entertainment. By the age of five, she had already seen countless Broadway Shows, today she recalls her favorite as "The Lion King". She was fascinated by the production, the costumes, acting involved, and the feeling that was growing inside of her. It wasn't until she was ten years old that she started to express a real interest in acting. Her first audition was for a role in the short film "Fever', she landed the role of Aisha. Shortly after this project, she landed her first commercial. Finally, she landed her first lead role as "Nikki" in the short film "Lady Loop" which will be in production, August 2016. Kyla attended the CREC Montessori Magnet School, during her elementary school years. Today, Kyla is attending the Tony Award winning Theater, Hartford Stage where her electives include acting, playwright, dance, and costume design.
