Brian Yaeger

Brian Yaeger is the author of Red, White, and Brew: An American Beer Odyssey and Oregon Breweries, a comprehensive guidebook to the state known as Beervana. He contributed to the Oxford Companion to Beer and writes about beer for national publications including All About Beer, Beer Advocate, and Draft Magazine as well as local ones such as 1859 Magazine, Portland Monthly, and the Portland Mercury. He earned a Master in Professional Writing (with a thesis on beer). When not attending and covering brewfests, he produces them from urban inner Portland to the cherry orchards of Hood Valley. Along with his wife, Half Pint, he runs Inn Beervana Bed & Beer in Portland where he also lives with his three-year-old son "I.P.Yae," and German Shorthair Pointer, Dunkel.
