Born in New-Brunswick, Marie-Josée Ouellet is a French-Canadian TV writer, script editor and film analyst based in Montreal, Quebec.
She won Best Drama Series and Best Screenplay at the 2019 Melbourne Webfest for "Germain s'éteint" ("Germain's shutdown") along with her co-writer Christine Doyon. Their TV series has also been nominated at the 2019 Séries Mania and by the Académie canadienne du cinéma et de la télévision for four Prix Gémeaux Awards.
She is currently working on a toddlers' TV show "Alix et les Merveilleux" and a Canadian adaptation of the American sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine".
She teaches Screenwriting workshops at L'INIS (L'Institut national de l'image et du son) and she is part of Sartec's Executive Board.
