Biography

Zain Khan is an independent filmmaker and actor from London, UK. Prior to creating his debut short film "The Operator" for Amazon Instant Video, Khan initially became involved within the movie world by writing reviews, beginning in early 2015. Using Instagram as a primary platform, Khan continues to publish reviews under the name "inzainreviews." Covering blockbusters to lower budget productions, Khan fills his reviews with personality, whilst getting across his point. Encouraged to write film reviews by his teachers, as well as his friends, Khan soon realised his passion and started to produce scripts for both feature length and short subjects. Subsequently, Khan gained additional interests in related fields, such as acting and directing, skills which he implemented whilst shooting his debut short film "The Operator." Khan continues to develop his talents in all subject areas to better his knowledge and skillset. Working independently is standard practise for Khan (scripts, reviews etc...) as he believes it is a distraction-free way to express himself. Attending multiple film screenings, Khan has been eager to produce film for most of his life, creating connections with other indie filmmakers, including Femi Oyeniran, Jordan Bolger, Matthew Cooke, James Holland, Matt Senior, Tony Revolori and Kyle Staff. Many of these people coach Khan into improving his knowledge. Boasting a reasonable scope of media skills, Khan rarely posts about his personal life. He believes that people lack individuality - "Everyone has the opportunity to do something game changing, for me it's inspiring young people to do something great." Khan's confidence drives him; he's full of positive energy even at the darkest of times. He believes that filmmaking is one of the most important forms of expression - that if someone wants to act, let them act. If they want to write anything down from the mind, do so. He believes that "if you have a concept in that you like, don't be afraid to put it out there. Be ready for what's to come, because you don't know if you're inspiring someone with your creativity." Many of the current industry greats that Khan has found himself inspired by include: Heath Ledger, Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese, Tarantino, Brie Larson, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy and John Boyega. As Khan matures and develops, he'd like to offer people an opportunity to do something 'different,' as he believes that people should build on their own dreams and not follow behind others. During the course of the future, Khan intends to focus primarily on dramatic, short, subjective films, as he is fond of the artistic value behind the craft. Moreover, he intends to apply for The Brit School where he wishes to study Broadcast Digital Communication (BDC) Media as well as continuing reviewing films and developing original projects.
