Biography

Growing up on Vancouver's East Side, Ricky's immigrant parents nurtured his passion for the creative arts by moving closer to the Lord Byng Arts School. It paid off: Ricky currently recurs in a major role on ABC's acclaimed drama "The Good Doctor." Previously, he was the male lead in the musical remake of Disney's "Freaky Friday." His other major credits include recurs on ABC's "Little Million Things" and NBC's quirky comedy "Trial & Error", HBOMax's feature "Star Struck", and appearances on CW's "The Flash", Fox's "Wayward Pines" and Syfy's "The Magicians." Along with acting, Ricky's creative interests include composing for and playing guitar and piano. He in fact composed music for the TV feature "Christmas Solo" (in which he had a supporting role). He's also busy writing a pilot drawn from his teen years. Ricky practices many forms of martial arts and competes in Muay Thai at an amateur level. And as a first-generation Canadian, Ricky speaks both Mandarin & Cantonese.
