Biography

Vickery Eckhoff is a New York City-based screenwriter and journalist known for her coverage in Forbes, Newsweek and Salon (among others) of the brutal horse meat trade. Her Forbes article on Mayor Paula Bacon (on which The Judas Horse is based) was the first to expose the industry's abuse of horses, rural communities, food-safety regulations and our legal system. Vickery also wrote the TV pilot comedy, The Modern Christian Spinster's Guide to Love in the 21st Century, about a threesome between a Sunday School teacher, God, and a series of Latin lovers during New York City's disco era, which was a recent semifinalist in Screencraft's TV Pilot competition and the Made in New York Writers Room.
