Biography

Jett Salazar, born Jose Luis Salazar, was born in San Antonio, TX. Growing up, he was always involved in school productions and community theater, but it was Marlon Brando's rebellious and iconic portrayal as Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire and Gael Garcia Bernal's passionate and sexually charged performance in La Mala Educacion that made him realize that his passion lied in film acting. Both very different, but both carefree and confident portrayals Jett only dreamed of being capable of himself. In the fall of 2011, Jett moved to New York City to attend the 3 year program at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After completing his studies, Jett went on to star in an Off Broadway production of La Trilogia de Juan Rulfo, directed by HOLA Award Winner German Jaramillo. He also starred and co-produced Crocodile Boy, a short film which made festival rounds and went on to win the Golden Palm Award at the Mexico International Film Festival in 2017. The following year, Jett made his television debut as Joseph Rivera on Blue Bloods on CBS. Jett hopes to continue to inspire and entertain. Inspire through stories that evoke emotions we are told not to feel. Entertain with the same rebellion and passion that his idols did unto him, and pass that on to another little boy in San Antonio, TX. And to do so, he'll make sure to break every single rule imaginable.
